Technical Difficulties...

Hi all! Just wanted to let you know i've been having MAJOR tech problems as of late, but im on the job and will begin posting exciting new color swatches and finished product and witty snarks as soon as the issue is resolved.

These two started off as experiments and turned into hats. Not bad eh? lol As I've said, my photography skills are evolving so you can't really see the success per se.

Up top, BULLS EYE! was an experiment in attempted blocking but ended up being a stunning foray into striping. The colors are vivid and striking and, at least to me looked like a target. Hence its name.

Below GEMSTONE started out as a swatch. The muted brilliant jeweltones give almost an understated sheen once finished and really does look like gemstones. Living proof that swatching does work!

Winter Brights!

So barring the last literal few days, the Chi and most of the midwest has been dreary and snow laden. So I created these two beauties to cheer me up. :D Up top is Orange Confetti and below is Tye-dye.

Of course with the pending snow storm destined to hit us at any moment you can expect more in my winter brights collection. Some with cowls and some with scarves and i'm learning mittens and gloves so they'll be posted eventually as well.

How it all started...

DISCLIMER: The wigform does not do the hats justice. All hats have been modeled on actual heads to ensure proper fit and shape. And Im not a good photographer....

Okay these two beauties started it all. Up top is Berry Beret and below is Eclair. I wanted hats that first and foremost fit my head. Then I wanted hats with personality and i hated the selection so I thought to make my own.

Then came the questions, compliments, requests...and presto! Here I am! :D This blog is both a place to showcase my creations and share my love of yarn and creative process it inspires...
